President Mamnoon Hussain Tuesday said the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and development of Gwadar Port would lead to progress and prosperity in Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan province.
He said the government was according the highest priority to carry out development in Balochistan for the
people’s welfare and to bring it at par with other provinces.

The Governor briefed the President about the overall situation in Balochistan and the efforts for restoring
law and order in the province, said a press release.
The President expressed satisfaction over the improved security situation in Balochistan, saying that the government was undertaking steps for peace and stability in the region.
He said the completion of development projects together with CPEC would generate robust business activities and create enormous employment opportunities for the people of Balochistan and raise their living standard.
He also expressed his satisfaction at the pace of development work in Balochistan.
