President meeting with former Consul General of China

President Mamnoon Hussain has said that Pakistan and China are committed to ensure timely completion of economic corridor projects adding that no hindrance would be tolerated in the completion of these projects.
The President was talking to former Consul General of China Mr. Tang and his wife Professor Dr. Kong Julan here at Aiwan-e-Sadr.
The President said that not only the government of Pakistan but also the entire country is desirous of promoting relations with China and said that for this purpose frequent contact between the institutions and people of both countries should continue.
On the occasion, Professor Dr. Kong Julan presented her book to President Mamnoon Hussain.  Dr. Kong Julan is a renowned expert of Urdu language as well as of Chinese language. She has also compiled a Chinese-Urdu dictionary. President Mamnoon Hussain during his last visit to China had advised Dr. Kong Julan to compile an Urdu-Chinese dictionary for the benefit of those seeking to learn Urdu language. Dr. Kong Julan apprised the President that work on Urdu-Chinese dictionary is complete and it will be published soon. The President appreciated the commitment of Dr. Julan in this regard and said that this academic project would further bring the two friendly nations closer.
Mr. Tang has been ex- Chinese Consul General in Karachi and also studied in the Karachi University. It is pertinent to mention here that a twenty member Chinese delegation is on a visit to Pakistan these days. The delegation also comprises of those experts who had participated in the construction of Silk route.
