President Mamnoon Hussain has said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would usher in economic revival in Pakistan

President Mamnoon Hussain has said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would usher in economic revival in Pakistan and called upon the nation to pray and make efforts for its timely completion.
The President said this while addressing the 39th Convocation ceremony of National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (NUCES) here in Islamabad on Monday.
The President stated that CPEC would not only be beneficial for Pakistan but for all the countries of the region noting that it would transform the fate of the region. The President said that Pakistan would become the most important country of the region after the completion of CPEC and it would generate great employment opportunities as well. He emphasized upon the youth to make themselves ready for taking advantage of these opportunities. The President expressed hope that CPEC would strengthen Pakistan’s economy.
The President called upon the universities to play their role in sensitizing the new generation about the requirements of the contemporary world and in completion of national agenda. He said that universities should play their part in promoting education and for economic progress of the country. The President stated that in modern age economics has precedence over politics. We shall have to stabilize and strengthen our country’s economy through sheer hardwork and honesty, added the President.
The President underlined that we as a nation would have to discipline ourselves adding that we all would have to collectively fight against corruption and do the social boycott of corrupt elements. The President cautioned that if we did not do so then we would be left far behind in the comity of nations.
The President said that Pakistan is a great country but in the past it suffered a lot of damage at the hands of corrupt elements. He highlighted that the country was on the right track up to 1970s but afterwards it was marred by corruption. The President emphasized that now we have to put the country on path of progress by eliminating corruption.
The President also distributed medals and certificates amongst the successful students at the end of the convocation ceremony.
