President Mamnoon Hussain has said that construction of new and modern hospitals in the country is need of the hour.
The President said this while talking to Vice Chancellor Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU) Prof. Dr. Javed Akram who called on him along with a delegation here at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Monday. On the occasion, Prof. Dr. Javed Akram gave a comprehensive briefing to President Mamnoon Hussain on proposed Medical Tower Complex project.
The President stated that modern medical facilities can be provided to people through such welfare projects adding that projects like this should be pursued with devotion. The President praised Medical Tower Complex project and said that a practicable model should be evolved after consultation with all relevant departments so that the project could be materialized. The President also emphasized upon the need to equip Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) with the latest and modern health facilities.
Minister of State for CADD Barrister Usman Ibrahim and Secretary CADD Khalid Hanif were also present on the occasion.
